# How Do I Use Actionable Agents?

## Actionable Agents are AI-powered self-serve tools built into the platform to help you drive impact effortlessly in your business and programs.

### What Are Actionable Agents?

Actionable Agents are specialized AI tools, each designed to help you drive your client conversations and high-impact programs forward *faster*. They're built on Actionable methodology, so the outputs are aligned with best practices, not generic AI responses.

Most of our Agents are designed to work as a connected ecosystem — outputs from one Agent are ideally used with another, so your work builds on itself across each agent.

**Tip**:*You'll need to manually upload output from one Agent into the next. Cross-agent integration is on the roadmap, but not available quite yet*. 

### Who Has Access?

Actionable Agents are available to users on an **Impact Consulting Program (ICP) license**, including anyone currently in an onboarding cohort.

### Where to Find Agents

Agents are accessible from the left-hand navigation bar on your Actionable Partners Page — the same place you find all other tools in the platform.

1. Log in to your Actionable Partners Page.
2. Select **Agents** from the sidebar.

**You'll land on a page with three tabs:**

- **Agents** — browse and launch all available Agents
- **Conversations** — view the history of all your past Agent conversations
- **Artifacts** — access any documents or outputs an Agent has created for you

### How to Use an Agent

1. Navigate to **Agents** in the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Select the Agent you want to work with.
3. Start a conversation — select a prompt then describe your client, program, or goal. The more context you provide, the more relevant the output.
4. Review the Agent's response and continue the conversation to refine or expand the output.
5. When the Agent produces a deliverable, it's automatically saved as an Artifact that you can access later and you can export it immediately from the chat.

**Tip:** You can upload your own documents into the conversation to give the Agent additional context, such as existing client materials or past program notes.

### Finding and Exporting Artifacts

When an Agent produces a structured output — like a value chain, a proposal, or a commitment plan — it saves that as an Artifact.

**To access your Artifacts:**

1. Navigate to **Agents** in the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Select the **Artifacts** tab.
3. Locate the Artifact you want to view or export.

**Export options:**

- **PDF** — download a formatted PDF version of the Artifact
- **DocX** — download a Microsoft Word version of the Artifact

 

**Note:**

- Agents will eventually reference your program data, but currently restricted to your inputs for now.
- Your data is never used to train AI models or shared with other users.
