How Do I Use Table Widgets?

Table widgets are a great way to show detailed information about your program or participants

You'll have some or all of these options available to help tailor both the data and insights you include in your report, and the way you present them. You'll need to make sure you working in a custom report in "My Dashboards", and not an Actionable Preset. (Learn about copying Presets here).

Preset Table Widgets

We have created a library of helpful table widgets that you can just drag and drop onto any custom dashboards in "My Dashboards."

Example:

Steps: 

  1. Open your dashboard or report
  2. Click "Add Widget"

  3. Make sure you're on the Widget Library tab


  4. Filter for Table Widgets

    1. Hover over the desired widget. Click to grab and drag it onto your dashboard.
    2. Make sure to click Save Changes to save it in your dashboard. 

    Create a New Table Widget

    1. Open your dashboard or report.
    2. Click "Add Widget."

    3. Select the "Create new widget" tab.

    4. Scroll down to the Table widget type, click and drag it onto your dashboard.



    5. The widget editor will open. Add a title for the widget.

    6. Click "Add column" and choose a field you want on your table
    7. Continue adding columns as desired.

    8. Change the order of columns if needed by dragging and dropping the column names.


    9. Make sure to click Save Changes to add changes to your dashboard. 

    Advanced Editing Options

    Depending on your plan, you may have access to advanced editing options on table widgets, including

    • Table options
    • Sorting
    • Formatting
    • Filters

     

    Table Options

    Allows you to turn pagination, summary row, and alternating fills on or off

    Sorting

    Choose one or more columns to sort the table by

    Formatting

    1. Text style: set text wrap, bold the text, or change the text justification
    2. Text color: Choose from your palette or a color picker

    3. Background color: Choose a static color or conditional colors based on the value of the cell. Measure fields also have the option to choose a gradient.

    4. Hide field: Click the eyeball to hide that column from the table while keeping it in the query and sort settings
