# What does Group Visibility mean?

## Group Visibility is an effective way to stay accountable to your commitment progress and to remain connected with your cohort.

Group visibility is a simple table that shows high-level metrics of other participants in your session. This can be accessed by clicking on "Group Visibility" in the participant sub-navigation.

If a participant has turned Visibility *on*, then other participants can see their details (even if those other participants have set Visibility to OFF).

- When creating their commitment, a participant will be prompted to turn Group Visibility on as the final step. Visibility is off by default.
- If a participant wants to edit their Group Visibility preference after the commitment has been made, they can do so from their Commitment Dashboard, under their active commitment.
    - Participants can login from [here](http://start.actionable.co/login), then click on their active commitment, and below the commitment dashboard they can toggle visibility either on or off. ![](https://knowledge.actionable.co/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-29-2026-03-00-53-5425-PM.png?width=670&height=438&name=image-png-Jun-29-2026-03-00-53-5425-PM.png)
